While it is certainly a part of the bigger picture, most of us are not in the business of solving emergency needs on a daily basis. Thankfully, there are those who are. Especially when we are locked out or stranded.
Handling emergencies is certainly a part of being an advisor, and this is why we follow the markets, plan, prepare, crunch the numbers, and comb through an endless array of features and benefits to find the right solutions. But this is not the primary business we are in.
Instead, we are in the business of helping people solve other problems or achieve non-urgent dreams and desires.
The fact is that dreams and desires are less about data and details and more about images and feeling. It is only once we are clear about how to connect to the non-urgent dreams and desires, can we get what we decide we want.
Some advisors believe it is all about making money, but a Referable Advisor knows that its really about making dreams come true.
